Don't think I wrote this down explicitly before so here goes.
Some experiments I did showed very good results for monitoring Podcast recording using Soundflowerbed with minimal latency. The Soundflowerbed menu allows you to set the buffer size. You will notice the latency change if you change the setting.
A couple of notes:
- For minimal latency, use buffer size 64 or 128.
- If the latency gets longer over time, go back to this menu and switch to another setting and back. (This resets the buffer.)
- Set the volume you want to hear in your headphones before you switch in- and outputs to Soundflower because Soundflowerbed does not allow you to change the output volume for monitoring!
